Fiesta Hermosa is Back!

As painful as it is to report, Summer 2016 is coming to an end in the South Bay.

To take the sting out of that news, each year, Fiesta Hermosa is our one last big party to mark the start of Fall. This year is no different with Fiesta Hermosa kicking off its 44th year.

Starting Saturday, September 3rd, and going through Monday, September 5th, the festival will be open from 10am-6pm. Can you believe it has been going on since 1972?!

This year's festival is really shaping up to be another fun-filled weekend. The good news is that this family friendly event truly has something for everyone of all ages. Here is our breakdown of events for South Bay locals of all ages!

For the kids, there are a few things they will not want to miss. This year, the petting zoo is located just before the Main Stage and conveniently close by the Charity Beer and Wine Garden. (Maybe you will be lucky enough to sneak away and grab a quick cold one while the kids are busy checking out the animals.) The Kids Carnival is located further up the pier just off Hermosa Ave. That is another can't-miss activity for the youngsters too. Refer to this handy map to help get the lay of the land.

Food-wise, this year will not disappoint. We recommend coming to Fiesta Hermosa with a big appetite. There will be all sorts of foods from all around the world including Greek, Thai, Mexican, Brazilian, and of course some good old American grub too. Save room for dessert, there's a cotton candy stand, caramel apples and funnel cakes too!

Make sure to save a couple bucks in your pocket for all of the local businesses who will have set up shop on Hermosa Ave. Tons of local retailers have their tents set up and are ready to sell you some great items at an end-of-summer bargain.

If music is your thing, then you are in luck. Whether it is Pop, Rock or an 80s cover band - The Main Stage will have a little bit of everything throughout the weekend.

Some of the standout acts not to miss include Beach Rock star Kevin Souza on Saturday from 11am-2pm.

Beatles cover band "Ticket to Ride" plays Sunday from 3-6pm.

Can't forget Neil Deal, the Neil Young Tribute Band from 11am-2pm on Monday. Then directly after that, "Peace Frog" - a Doors cover band, will take the stage from 3-6pm to close out the Fiesta.

Adios Summer 2016. Hope everyone had a great and action-packed last few months!
